Telugu cinema's legendary Nandamuri family, is welcoming its newest star-fourth-generation actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the great-grandson of the iconic Sr NTR. His debut film was formally launched on Monday with a traditional puja ceremony at the historic NTR Ghat in Hyderabad.
The event was graced by prominent members of the Nandamuri and Nara families, including Nara Bhuvaneswari, Garapati Lokeswari, Daggubati Purandeswari, and Vasundhara Devi. Bhuvaneswari, wife of
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the actor’s great-aunt, gave the ceremonial first clap. The Chief Minister himself extended warm wishes on social media, expressing hope that the young actor would carry forward the family’s glorious tradition and achieve great success.
Nandamuri
Taraka Rama Rao, grandson of the late Nandamuri Harikrishna and son of the late Janakiram, has undergone 18 months of rigorous training under the guidance of renowned director YVS Chowdary, who is helming the project. Chowdary, a veteran filmmaker with a long association with the Nandamuri family, has previously worked with both Nandamuri Hari Krishna and Balakrishna.
The film also introduces Veenah Rao, a Kuchipudi dancer, as the female lead, marking her acting debut. The music is composed by Oscar-winning maestro MM Keeravaani, with lyrics penned by Chandrabose and dialogues crafted by Sai Madhav Burra.
