At a recent rural employment event in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister and actor
Pawan Kalyan shared his thoughts on tackling youth depression. Speaking to a gathering of
MGNREGA workers on May Day, he shared that the young people across the country to follow the advice he gives his own family members when they feel down is to stop eating and go work in the fields.
As per Hindustan Times report he said, "When the children in my family tell me they’re depressed, I ask them to stop saying that. First, stop eating food. Go out and work, farm in the fields. It’ll make you hungry; that’s when you won’t feel depressed."
According to the 'OG' actor, physical labor and feeling hunger helps overcome feelings of depression by keeping the mind focused and active. Pawan Kalyan explained that anyone who works hard will have little time or space for depression. He also said, "Someone who wakes up wondering how they'll feed themselves is not depressed. All they think about is food and sleep."
On his acting front, Pawan Kalyan has a busy slate of upcoming films. One of the most awaited is 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit', a historical action-adventure directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. Another major project is 'OG', a gangster action thriller directed by Sujeeth. The film features Pawan Kalyan alongside Emraan Hashmi and Priyanka Mohan.
