Pawan Kalyan who also serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of
Andhra Pradesh's 8-year-old Mark Shankar got injured following a
fire accident at his son's school. The incident occurred on April 8, 2025, at a school in the River Valley area of Singapore.
Viral footage of the fire rescue operation has emerged on social media, showing firefighters breaking through windows to evacuate trapped students and staff. The blaze, which started on the second and third floors of the school building, claimed the life of one child and injured 19 others, including Mark.
Mark Shankar, Pawan Kalyan's youngest son from his third marriage to Anna Lezhneva, suffered burns on his arms and legs and is experiencing respiratory issues due to smoke inhalation. He is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital, with his condition reported as serious but stable.

Despite urgings from his team to immediately fly to Singapore, the actor-politician chose to honor his commitment to visit Kuridi village near Araku before departing.
Pawan Kalyan said on Tuesday night that he would be leaving for Singapore on a 9.30 pm flight. He further shared that his son underwent a bronchoscopy under general anaesthesia as per an ANI report.
