IU praises ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ co-star Park Bo-gum as ‘principled and disciplined’, recalls heartwarming gesture with child actor

The K-drama ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ came to a successful end recently. The show garnered support and love on a global level. Ever since the release of the first episode, the main star cast of the show, IU and Park Bo-gum, have been loved by fans across the world because of their amazing chemistry on screen. Talking about filming the series, working with each other, and more, the both of them shared a lot of details with fans. In a recent interview, IU even shared details about Bo-gum’s personality and about an incident that happened on set.
IU recently appeared for an interview on a YouTube show titled ‘Park Eun Ha’s Exchange’, where she talked about the global success of the show and also shared details about her fellow co-star. She shared an anecdote of the actor on set when he provided support and mentored a young actor. During filming, a child actor had shared a slang that was inappropriate in nature. At the time, Bo-gum’s sweet and strict nature came to light as he corrected the child’s behaviour.
She shared "One of the child actors, a very young one, repeated a bad word that seemed like they had just heard it somewhere and remembered it, probably without knowing what it meant. It wasn’t a terribly bad word, but still inappropriate." She then continued to share, saying that "Bo Gum gently put his hands on the kid’s shoulders and said, ‘Do you know what that word means? Promise me you won’t say that again, okay?’ That really left an impression on me," as quoted on Pinkvilla.
IU shared the anecdote and called Bo-Gum a ‘principled’ and ‘disciplined’ person. She also talked about his behaviour on set, and no matter what, his energy remained upbeat and high on set. She shared that "No matter how unwell he was, he always reassured everyone that he was okay and helped keep the mood light." Park Bo-Gum is well known for his calm and gentle personality and has been time and time praised for it as well by other co-stars too.
